Thomas Jacob Hilfiger (born March 24, 1951) is an American fashion designer & also founder of Tommy Hilfiger Corporation.
After starting his career by founding a chain of fashion stores called People’s Place based in New York in the 1970s. Also Thomas began designing clothing for his own menswear line in 1980s. More than that the company later expanded into women’s clothing & luxury items such as perfumes. Furthermore the company went public in 1992. His collections were often influenced by the fashion of music subcultures.
